Two wins, 5,000 students, four months: Ren's year at N-House Pitch Night

Ren won NUS Enterprise's N-House Pitch Night again. We took the Odyssey Track at N-House Pitch Night 2026, hosted at Workato Singapore, and organised with NUS Enterprise and the N-House community.

We are proud of the milestone. The trophy is not the headline. What happened in the months before it matters more.

What brought us here

In the four months before the 2026 win, Ren changed from a promising pilot into real infrastructure inside real classrooms:

  • More than 12 institutional pilots across leading Singapore schools, junior colleges, and universities.
  • More than 5,000 students and 50 teachers who use the platform actively.
  • Revenue from paying customers — we will say more about this soon.

That traction is the real story. An award is a snapshot. A teacher who opens Ren on a Sunday night to mark a stack of essays is the reason we build.

How it started

Go back one semester. Ren was an idea sketched in a study cubicle in BIZ1. Within six months it moved from concept to a market-ready product in its first classrooms. It also won N-House Pitch Night 2025 at EnterpriseSG, together with the NUS Enterprise 10K VIP Grant.

We served just over 600 students then. Two pitch nights later, that number is almost ten times larger. None of it would have happened without our team, Justin Cheah and Natasha Koh. It also needed the early adopters who believed in the product before much existed to believe in.

What we build

Ren is a teaching and learning system built around feedback loops. We record every comment and every mark across every assignment, not only exams. A teacher can then see a gap early and act before the student falls behind. Our goal is to make education pre-emptive instead of reactive.

Every script, worksheet, and essay marked in Ren adds to a live picture of the student's progress. Nothing disappears the moment the teacher returns the work. Our marking and suggestion features are pedagogically grounded, AI-powered, teacher-first, and calibrated to each school's own marking criteria.

We build the marking and feedback infrastructure for schools. We start in Singapore, and we look toward classrooms everywhere.
